Chelmsford Chess Club is an established and sucessful chess club with over 30 full-time members, whose standards range from beginner through to county level. Affiliated to the British Chess Federation, the club competes in the North Essex Chess League (NECL) where, this year, it's highly successful 'A' team were crowned League Champions for the 3rd successive season. The vision of the Gap Youth Group is aimed at young people between the ages of 11-16. However, young people who are above this age range are welcome to take part. The name of the group the GAP means to bridge the gap with the young community in Heybridge and Maldon. It provides a youth orientated club with relevant bible teaching and worship.
